The Midnight Cry

This is an old hymn (over a thousand years old) that I sang with some friends at church yesterday. Dad recorded the audio on his phone, then made a video using the lyrics as the video part.

Chasing My Dreams

I have wanted to be a nurse for a long time. Now I have finally gotten started! I began my studies in the fall of 2007, at a nearby community college. I'm taking it slow - just a couple classes per semester for now. And I love it! My teachers are great, the classes very interesting, and my fellow-students inspiring. I plan to take one more year for pre-nursing classes before I transfer to another school for a two-year RN program. From there, it is hard to say with any great certainty where my journey will lead, but at this time I'm hoping to work in the emergency room, ICU, or surgery, perhaps as a traveling RN.

Other than school, my days fill up with sewing for friends and family, tending my animals (a couple milk goats and a donkey), and singing in a small community choir. I also spend a lot of time with my sister, Charlotte and my nephew, Louis.

My life is full of little joys every day. I live at home surrounded by the comfort and support of a wonderful family. With Mama as my best friend, Daddy my hero and favorite counselor, and four little brothers with abundant energy, chivalry, fun, and mischief, God has indeed been good to me! I only desire to give back to Him and to the world around me the love and life I have been given.
